William Scott Adolph

William Scott “Papa Cott” Adolph of Finksburg, Maryland passed peacefully into the next life on March 30, 2023 after a protracted battle with metastasized squamous cell carcinoma. He was born February 7, 1956 to Dr. William Howard Adolph and Margaret Reynolds Adolph. The youngest of three children, Scott grew up in Randallstown. He attended Baltimore Lutheran High School and graduated from Towson University. He was a Realtor for over 40 years, and the bulk of his career was spent with RE\MAX Advantage Realty. Scott loved his job and enjoyed helping people find the homes of their dreams. He and his wife Gina worked together for many years, and he often said how glad he was to work with her. They were true partners. Scott was a proud father to his daughter, Caitlin, and son-in-love, Brad. He loved being a Papa to his two grandchildren, Lincoln and Kinley. Scott enjoyed traveling, and took many trips through his lifetime, both with his parents and sisters as well as with his wife, daughter, and friends. He was at the 1972 Munich Olympics, and loved to reminisce about driving on the autobahn. He traveled to Hawaii, Sweden, Italy, and all across the US. He loved to take road trips and spent long hours driving from place to place in the US. Scott enjoyed cars of all kinds, driving to many car shows around the East Coast and Midwest, and was an avid match box car collector. Scott is predeceased by his parents, William (Bill) and Margaret (Mickey) and in-laws Tom and Teresa Brown. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Gina, daughter and son-in-love Caitlin and Brad Widner, grandchildren Lincoln and Kinley, sisters Lorna Adolph and Brent Toomey, in-laws Tom and Terry Brown, Dawn and Bryan Martin, and Terry Toomey, many beloved nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews, cousins, and numerous friends who were his chosen family. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at 2pm at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville, MD. After the service the family will gather at 1623 Brewing Company to share memories, and all are welcome to join. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation be made to Dove House (Bridging Life hospice) in Westminster, who cared so kindly for Scott and for us in his last days.
