Mrs. Wanda P. Beach

Wanda P. Beach (nee Pelczar) passed away Sunday, August 1st 2021 at age 96 after a brief stay at the Dove House in Westminster, MD. Born in 1925 in Bengies, MD, she was the youngest of 9 children of the late Michael and Josephine Pelczar. Her family moved to Pikesville, MD in 1939 where she lived until moving to the Fairhaven Retirement Community in Sykesville, MD in 2017. She had a happy childhood, surrounded by a large and loving family. She graduated from the University of MD in 1945. Wanda married her high school sweetheart, Cal, in July of 1945 while he was on furlough from the war (WWII). They had a rich and full life together and raised their 4 children in Pikesville. Wanda was a wonderful mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend and neighbor. She was active in the Pikesville Women’s Club and PTA, and a long-time member of St. Charles Catholic Church in Pikesville. She was very supportive of all her children’s and grandchildren’s school and extra-curricular activities. She was a good woman, a great cook and an avid card player. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 1/2 years, Ralph Calvin Beach and cherished son of 62 years, Jeffrey George Beach, as well as 5 sisters and 3 brothers. She is survived by sisters-in-law Sarah Jean Beach of Reisterstown, MD and Barbara Beach of Rockledge, FL, her loving children Gary Calvin Beach and his wife Rosemary of Edgewater, MD, Mark Henry Beach and his wife Cindy of West End, NC, daughter-in-law Terry Beach of Crisfield, MD and Karen Lucy Kvech and her husband Ray of Winfield, MD, dear grandchildren Mary Beach Lopez, Patty Beach Kanwal, Joe Beach, Julie Beach Chase, Daniel Beach, Emily Beach Richards, Michael Beach, Melissa Beach Wilson, Wade Corder and Casey Gatewood, 12 precious great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and their families, and many wonderful friends. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Community at 915 Liberty Road, Eldersburg, MD 21784 on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Charles Borromeo Church in Pikesville, MD, St. Joseph Catholic Community in Eldersburg, MD or Our Daily Bread in Baltimore, MD.
