Stephanie Ann Olson

Stephanie Ann Olson (Storey), age 83 of West Friendship, MD, passed away at home on Wednesday March 11, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. Born on April 18, 1942, she was a devoted wife, nurturing mother, and a steady source of strength. Her life was defined by her love for Jesus, love for family, love for others and love of country. Stephanie was a “farm girl” through and through; as a child, she always dreamed of living on a farm of her own. For 54 years, she and Paul lived on Fox Run Farm, raising their five children along with horses, dogs, cats, chickens, sheep & pigs. Every August, she could be found at the Howard County Fair involved with the 4-H programs and specifically loved being a part of the Critter & Petting Barn. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, babysitting, running them to music & dance lessons, cheering them on at sporting events, special shopping outings and countless graduations. One of her favorite things was taking them to rodeos after she outfitted them all with cowboy boots and hats. Stephanie was a woman of unwavering faith whose life reflected her deep love of her savior, Jesus Christ. She lived each day guided by grace, kindness, and a servant’s heart demonstrating a beautiful testimony of faith in action. Her faith was the foundation of her life, and she shared it through her gentle spirit, her prayers for those she loved, and the example she set for all who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the faith she instilled in her children and grandchildren, and the countless lives she touched with her kindness. One of the many notes found on her desk, Stephanie wrote: “From this side death looks horrible – terrible – But from the other side death looks beautiful! Jesus would be there – can you just picture it! And angels... possibly even Jenny and Paul! To actually BE in the place where we will never die! Where we will have no more sadness, pain, sickness, doubt, fear… Where there will be meaningful purpose, joy and all such to be and do Where we will never die – “ Stephanie is survived by her loving husband, Paul Olson of 64 years; daughters Julie (Olson) and Robert Taylor, Amy (Olson) and Alex Pagnotta, Carrie (Olson) and Brian Lodovici. She was sadly predeceased by her daughter Jennifer Elaine Olson and her son Paul Benjamin Olson. She was the adored “G-Ma” to grandchildren Alex and Ali Pagnotta, Amanda (Pagnotta) and Doug Carpenter, Nick Lodovici and fiancé Kailey Flannagan, Anthony & Amy Pagnotta, Austin & Nicole Pagnotta, Gabby Lodovici, Alayna Pagnottta, AJ Lodovici, Joe Lodovici, Sophie Lodovici and Dylan Taylor. Great grandchildren include Aiden & Adeline Carpenter, Karson & Weston Lodovici and Rocky, Paddy & Johnny Pagnotta. She is also survived by her half-sisters, Lori (Storey) Mazza, and Mimi (Storey) White and a multitude of other family and friends who will miss her dearly. In the words of her half-sister, Lori, “She was the most authentic, beautiful person. I don’t think anyone could know her and not love her.” A sentiment shared by all who had the wonderful blessing of having known her. Stephanie’s life was beautifully lived in faith, and her family and friends take comfort in knowing she now rests in eternal peace. Well done, good and faithful servant.
