Mr. David Dean Eash

David Dean Eash, age 81, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at his home in Woodbine. Born October 14, 1942, in Johnstown, PA, he was the son of the late Elmer Jacob and Dorothy (Blough) Eash. He was the husband of 63 years to Sandra May Eash. Dave and Sandy moved to the DMV area in the early 1960s. Dave immediately found employment at Capital Cadillac as a body man and worked tirelessly to save enough to start his own business. Dave and Rick Gilbreath co-founded E&G Classics, Inc. in 1972 which grew into a thriving successful business employing more than 250 people at its height. Dave was a racing enthusiast starting with racing go-karts with all 3 of his sons. While continuing to work closely with his son Lynn at E&G Classics, he eventually moved his racing passion onto Sprint Car racing. He supported Darren in his Sprint Car journey and sponsored Cris in his racing career locally and in the World of Outlaw circuit. Dave was an active member in his church, an avid gun collector, car fanatic and seasoned world traveler. But most of all, Dave was a loving family man who will be missed by everyone who ever met him. Surviving in addition to his wife are sons and daughters-in-law, Darren and Jennifer Eash, Lynn and Amber Eash, and Cris and Amy Eash; siblings and spouses, Marlin Eash, Jeanie Osborne, Darlene and John Henry, Lila and Paul Hershberger, Janet and Merl Yoder and Shirleen and Ellis Kaufman; grandchildren and spouses, Amanda and Ryan Sullivan, Gregory Eash, Ashton and Mike Sullivan, Annalee Eash, Andy Fulmer, Connor and Zoe Eash, David and Lexi Eash, and Haley and Jordan Conaway; and great-grandchildren, Jimmy and Jackie Sullivan, and Finley and Sawyer Sullivan; and numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. He was predeceased by brother-in-law, Dick Osborne. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 20, 2024, from 2-4 PM and 6-8PM at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville, MD. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at 10 AM at Lisbon United Methodist Church, 15875 Frederick Road, Lisbon, MD, where a luncheon will immediately follow at the church. Interment to follow the luncheon at 1 PM at Resthaven Cemetery Mausoleum, 9501 Catoctin Mountain Hgwy, Frederick, MD.
