Christopher H. Knorr

Christopher Howell Knorr, age, 53 of Sykesville, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 7, 2022, at Carroll Hospital, Westminster, MD. He was born October 19, 1968, in San Pedro, CA to David James Knorr, CPT., Ret. and Elizabeth Howell Knorr of Annapolis, MD. He was the loving husband of S. Michele Knorr and amazing father to his favorite daughter, Brooke Ashley Knorr of Raleigh, NC, and favorite son Brandon Howell Knorr of Baltimore. Chris was the definition of a salesman working in the auto industry for many years. He is remembered as the LoJack guy where he worked for over twenty years and most recently at ECP as the manufacturing representative. He graduated from Towson State College in 1990 ½ and was a founding member of the Beta Phi Delta. Chris had a passion for sports. From coaching and watching. He was the best, most passionate baseball, softball and basketball coach and loved for his endless optimism. He never missed a Sunday watching Rams football in the theater room, the Orioles, no matter how well they were performing. And of course cheering on his kids alma maters, University of Maryland, and NC State. He always won the tailgate, with fireball toast in everyone's hand. He was a member of Wesley Freedom United Methodist Church where he made many friendships of brothers and sisters in Christ, most notably Rev. Dr. Bill and Michelle Brown. Chris was known for always assisting on taking pictures, especially selfies whenever with anybody, even strangers. He always told his kids to get a picture with friends because they would appreciate it later. Chris had a passion for always making memories, making you laugh, always smiling, and definitely was the loudest in the room and could always overtalk you. Chris was always planning the next trip or event. Chris was the glue that kept everyone together whether it be family, friends, coworkers, sports teams, everyone. He always believed in maximum effort towards all elements of life, and family above all. Chris was the best husband, father, brother, son, uncle, cousin, friend, coworker, mentor, coach, trainer and the list could go on forever. He will be so dearly missed. Surviving in addition to the” Knorr 4” and his parents are his brothers and sisters-in-law David and Fatima Knorr of Arlington, VA and Thomas and Asabi Knorr of Bowie; sisters Suzanne Clifton of Annapolis and Deborah Hammond and husband Kemp of Annapolis; father-in-law and mother-in-law Ignacio and Maria Rain of Pikesville and sister in law Patricia Hildt and husband D'Wayne Hildt of Scottsdale. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by brother in law, Lawrence Clifton, and nephew Aaron Hildt. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville, MD. A celebration of life will be held at 2pm on Thursday, July 14, 2022, at Wesley Freedom United Methodist Church, 961 Johnsville Road, Eldersburg, MD. Interment will be private. The family requests that everyone wears Rams Jersey, Orioles Jerseys, or whatever your favorite team is to the funeral/viewing.
