Mrs. Shirley Ann Hobbs Wilson

Shirley Ann Hobbs Wilson, age 87, died Wednesday, May 4, 2022, in Cumming, GA. Born April 19, 1935, in Marriottsville, MD, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Lillie Hobbs. She was the wife of the late Robert Ray Wilson. Shirley was a loving, kind and beautiful person and many referred to her as a "Saint" because she was so giving and always put others first before her needs. She enjoyed cooking, housekeeping and decorating her home. She loved all pets and they loved her. Her greatest passion was her family. She was a great homemaker, housewife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was the glue that held the family together. She loved God and always said "put it in God's hands." She will be missed by all. Her survivors include her children, David Ray Wilson and wife Norma, daughter, Deborah Ann Wilson Fussell; siblings, Beatrice Beachy, Betty Jenkins and husband Harry, and Thomas Hobbs; son-in-law, Larry Rogers; grandchildren, David Wilson, Jr., Sheri Severt and husband Randy, Matthew and Carrie Fussell, Ryan Fussell, Amy Rogers, Angela and David Cliffton, Dennis and Melissa Wilson, Jr., and Brian Wilson; and 13 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her children, Darlene Marie Wilson Rogers and Dennis Lee Wilson; and siblings, Evelyn Hobbs Fountain, Charles Edward Hobbs, Linda Hobbs, and Barbara Hobbs. The family will receive friends on Friday from 10 am to 12 pm at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville, where a funeral service will follow at 12 pm. Guests are encouraged by the family to wear blue. Interment to follow at Lake View Memorial Park, Sykesville. Those desiring may send donations in Shirley's name to the American Cancer Society.
