Mrs. Rosemary R. Sapp Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Rosemary R. Sapp, nee Singleton, age 90, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at St. Joseph's Nursing Home in Catonsville, MD, after a long journey with Alzheimer’s Disease. She was the beloved wife of the late William Aloysius Sapp, Jr. Born March 3, 1932, she was the daughter of the late John M. Singleton and the late Mary M. Singleton. Rosemary was a 1950 graduate of the Institute of Notre Dame in Baltimore, MD. After raising her six children, she began a successful career in the insurance industry where she served as an agent until she retired at age 78. As an ever-loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and loyal friend, she lived an exemplary Christian life and always acted with unconditional love, devotion, and compassion to the family and loyal friends she so cherished. She spent over 60 years of worship, praise, volunteer work, and fellowship at St Joseph's Catholic Church in Eldersburg, MD and Holy Family School in Randallstown, MD. She is survived by her children, William A. Sapp III and wife Connie, Edward J. Sapp, Theresa M. DeCenzo and husband David, Richard G. Sapp and wife Joanne, Rosemarie A. Carlyle and husband Mark, Kevin M. Sapp and wife Julie; Grandchildren Rev. Philip R. Hurley S.J., Julianna Sapp, William A. Sapp IV, Nicholas and Beth Sapp, Alexander Sapp, Genevieve and Chris Acker, Mark and Jen DeCenzo, Meredith and Ryan Daley, Natalie and Scott Evans, Gabriella and Jonah Bryant, Kirsten Sapp, Kelsey and Joe Novotny, Cameron Carlyle, Nathan Carlyle, Kevin Sapp, Jr., Thomas and Jordan Sapp, Brendan Sapp; 15 great-Grandchildren, brother, Paul Singleton, sister, Jane Gutridge, and many nieces, nephews. A visitation for Rosemary will be held Sunday, August 7, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville, MD 21784. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 8, 2022 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Community, 915 Liberty Road, Sykesville, MD 21784. Interment to follow at Lake View Memorial Park, Sykesville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or St. Joseph’s Nursing Home, 1222 Tugwell Drive, Catonsville, MD 21228.
