Robert Eugene Bragg

Robert Eugene Bragg, age 83, of Taneytown, passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at Lorien Nursing Center, Taneytown. Born October 2, 1938, in Fayetteville, WV he was the son of the late James Earl Bragg and Lucille C. Hayes Bragg. He was former husband of Ruth Ann Burns. Robert retired as a grocery manager from Giant Foods. He was a graduate of Fayetteville High School, Fayetteville, WV. Robert then served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a car enthusiast and was very passionate about his 2000 Chevrolet Corvette. Robert was an avid sports and Baltimore Ravens fan. The most important thing to him was his family; his daughters, grandchildren and siblings. He is survived by daughters and sons-in-law Kim and Joseph Perna of Blufton, SC and Stephenie and Jarrett Bowen of Taneytown; brothers and sisters-in-law John and Sharon Bragg of Westminster and James and Sue Bragg of Bel Air; sister Martha Bowen of Sykesville and grandchildren: Joseph "Joey" Perna and Caroline, Hunter and Audrey Bowen and longtime companion Laure Thompson. He was predeceased by brothers Thomas and Jobe Bragg. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2pm on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville where a funeral service will follow at 2pm.
