Mr. Oscar Riggs Streaker III

August 8, 1952 - December 16, 2021

Oscar Riggs Streaker, III, 69 of Sykesville, MD, passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at home of natural causes. Born August 8, 1952 in Frederick, MD, he was the son of the late Oscar Riggs Streaker, Jr. and the late Ella Mae (Fowble) Streaker. He is survived by his sister Ruth Ann Kegel and her husband Edward W. Kegel, III of Taneytown, MD. Oscar was a 1970 graduate of Glenelg High School and a 1972 graduate of Catonsville Community College. He had worked in the engineering field. He attended Calvary United Methodist Church in Mt. Airy, MD. Oscar was a member of the Potomac Appalachian Trail Club where he regularly maintained a portion of the trail in Frederick County. He was also a member of the Baltimore Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Rd., Sykesville with Rev. Bill Maisch officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the start of the service. Inurnment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Oscar's name to Calvary United Methodist Church, 403 S. Main St., Mt. Airy, MD 21771.
