Millicent (Millie) Bond Brandt, formerly of Ellicott City, MD died on Sunday, July 10th at the Carroll Lutheran Village Center, Westminster, MD. She was 94. She was the wife of the late Emmett C. Brandt, whom she shared 59 years of marriage. Together they raised 2 children and had 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Janis Collins (Tom Mullinix) of Keymar, and son Gary Brandt (Andrea) of Woodbine, 6 grandchildren; Joe Brandt (Molly), Troy Brandt, Kyle Brandt (Paige), Matthew Collins, Sarah Collins, & Emily Collins and 2 great-grandchildren; Wesley Brandt & McKenna Brandt. She was preceded in death by her husband Emmett Brandt, granddaughter Gretchen Brandt, son-in-law Bill Collins, and brothers James 'Nevin' Bond, Charles 'Whittier' Bond, and Donald 'Joe' Bond. Millie was a graduate of Southern High School in Baltimore, MD. She spent 60 years in Ellicott City, MD before moving to Carroll Lutheran in 2015. She was an avid gardener who enjoyed canning vegetables and cooking for her family. She enjoyed sewing and quilting and donated her work to many charities. She was a proud homemaker and volunteered regularly at her church in her early years. She leaves behind a legacy of dedication and love for her family. The family will be receiving visitors at Haight Funeral Home, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville, MD on Sunday, July 17th at 1:00, with a celebration of life following at 2:00 at the funeral home.
