Mary Patricia Owens Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mary Patricia "Pat" Owens, age 78, of Sykesville, formerly of Ellicott City, went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Saturday, July 9, 2022. She was born on September 26, 1943, in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Gloyd Michael "Hop" Walsh and Margery Heath Walsh. She was the loving wife of Joseph Sherman Owens, her husband of 61 years. Pat had worked for the National Security Agency as an accounting specialist, prepared income taxes for individuals and was a homemaker over the years. She was a long time parishioner at St. Paul Catholic Church, Ellicott City. Surviving in addition to her husband are children and their spouses: Janet and Bill Wehland, Cathy and Mark Klimovitz, Carole and George Mann and Joe and Stacey Owens; siblings: Mike Walsh, Ron Walsh, Jack Walsh, Bob Walsh, Bruce Walsh, Peggy Rioux, Kevin Walsh, Joan Fisher and Nancy Walsh. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by grandson Kristopher Owens. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 & 6 to 8pm on Tuesday, July12, 2022, at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville. A funeral liturgy will be held at 11am on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at St. Paul Catholic Church, 3755 St. Paul Street, Ellicott City, MD. Interment will follow in Meadowridge Memorial Park.
