Kennard "Ken" Warfield Jr.

February 4, 1940 - January 25, 2022

Kennard "Ken" Warfield, Jr., 81, passed away January 25, 2022, he was an amazing, husband, father, grandfather, and best friend. Ken was born and raised on the family farm in Glenelg, MD. Ken was a farmer, entrepreneur, and land developer. At an early age, Ken was involved and created many agribusinesses; one being a strong passion for Thoroughbred racehorses. Ken will be remembered as a very hardworking man, who loved his family very much. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Mary Ellen (Hartigan) Warfield, son Kennard Warfield III, son John Stuart Warfield (Callie), daughter Jacqueline Mary Ellen Warfield, grandson Wyatt Chris Warfield, and sweet dog Dixie Marie; along with sisters Joy Bird (James), Joan Boniface (J. William), Trudy Patrick (Henry) and Patsy Wolsh. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Kennard was predeceased by his parents Kennard and Maude Isabel Warfield and brother Thomas Stuart Warfield. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8pm on Thursday, February 17, 2022, at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am on Friday, February 18, 2022, at St. Louis Catholic Church, 12500 Clarksville Pike, Clarksville, MD. Interment will be in Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Marriottsville, MD.
