Howard Warfield "Pete" Clark, Jr., age 68, of Glenelg passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2022, in Celebration, FL. Pete was born on September 29, 1953, in Olney, Maryland to the late Howard Warfield Clark, Sr. and Velma Kathryn Lingle Clark. He was the loving husband of Emily J. Buchanan Clark. Pete was a second Dad to hundreds of athletes over the years. His kind and gentle soul helped lead so many towards Jesus. Pete loved being a farmer, loved his tractors, and loved his family. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and cherished everyday they spent together. Surviving in addition to his wife are step-son Jeremy Rife and wife Amy; step-daughters Amanda Rife and husband Daniel Denbow, Caitlin Rife and Lauren Bachman and husband Christian; brother Harold L. "Bucky" Clark and wife Martha and sister Gail Hord and husband Warner and grandchildren Madeline, Cyrus, Eleanor, Genevieve, John and Gwenevere. Pete was predeceased by brothers Howard G. Clark and David L. Clark. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at the Howard County Fairgrounds, New Annex Building, 2210 Fairgrounds Road, West Friendship, MD 21794 where a funeral service will be held at 1pm on Wednesday, May 11, 2022. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Glenwood. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Faith Family Church, 4150 Sykesville Road, Finksburg, MD 21048, to be designated to the church's Missions Program.
