Mr. Francis "Frank" Joseph Mastria Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Francis Joseph “Frank” Mastria Jr., of Finksburg, at the age of 71 went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 4th, 2022 with his loving wife Judy Mastria by his side at UVA University Hospital in Charlottesville, Virginia. Frank was born August 2nd, 1950 in Washington D.C. to the late Francis Joseph Mastria Sr. and Joyce Marie “Baker” Sabock. He was a devoted and loving husband to Judy Volia “Martin” Mastria whom he married in 1975. Frank served in the US Army from 1971-1973. After finishing his term of service he had a 32 year career with Giant Food. Frank was a loyal Washington Redskins fan no matter what their record. He enjoyed golfing and going to all of his grandchildren’s sporting events to matter how far the drive. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and a former member of Elders Baptist Church where he sang in the choir for many years. Surviving in addition to his wife are his four children. Daughter Virginia Flynn and fiance David Zambito of Milton, NY, daughter Marlene and and son-in-law Robert Bookhultz of Sykesville, MD, son Frank Joseph, III, and daughter-in-law Amy Mastria of Sykesville, MD, and son Shawn Mastria and fiancé Kelsey Whiteley of Oak Island, NC.; brother James and wife Shirley Mastria of Winchester, VA., step brother Troy and wife Lisa Evans of SC.; and grandchildren: Cali Serafin, Erin Flynn, Kerry Flynn, Colleen Flynn, Caroline Mastria, Isabella Mastria, Abigail Mastria and Sophia Mastria. He was preceded in death by son-in-law Dennis Flynn and two grandsons Robert Bookhultz Jr. and Kenneth Ammon. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8pm on Monday, June 13, 2022, at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville. A funeral service will be held at 10am on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at Friendship Baptist Church, 1391 Sykesville Road, Sykesville, MD 21784.
