Bruno Robert (Bob) Centofanti, 80, of Eldersburg, Maryland, passed away on Monday, September 27, 2021, surrounded by his loving family after a battle with Parkinson’s Disease and Cancer. Bob was born on April 15, 1941. He was the son of Americo and Rina Pallini Centofanti. Bob graduated from Poly, received his Engineering Degree from Johns Hopkins University and his Master’s Degree from Purdue University. He worked for Western Electric on Broening Hwy and was a Program Manager at NSA. He was an usher at the Church of the Annunciation in Rosedale and Saint Joseph’s Catholic Community in Eldersburg. Bob was kind, well loved and respected by all who knew him. He was a very welcoming person who always made everyone feel comfortable with a story, a joke, or a magic trick, which would amaze children, young and old. He enjoyed sports, especially his hometown heroes (Ravens and Orioles) and whatever his grandkids were playing. He always loved being outdoors and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Margaret Malanowski Centofanti and his children: Nancy and Bill O’Neill, Steven Centofanti and Jill Centofanti. He is survived by his brother, Vince, and his wife, Chris Centofanti. He is survived by additional family members Brian and Lee O’Neill and Elisa and Ibrahim Bangura. He was a loving Nonno to Alex, Mia, Libby, Riley, Bella, Mikayla, Brandon, Julia, Malachy, and Clara. There are many more family and friends who will miss him. He is predeceased by his son, Bobby Centofanti, sister, Rita Campitelli, and grandson, Brian O’Neill, Jr. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-5pm at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville. A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday at 11am at St. Joseph Catholic Community, 915 Liberty Road, Sykesville.
