Mrs. Bonnie Lou Inkman

March 26, 1947 - December 13, 2020

Bonnie Lou Inkman age 73, of Sykesville passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2020, at University of Maryland Hospital. Born March 26, 1947, in Carroll County, MD she was the daughter of the late Charles Dutterer and Helen Frock Dutterer. She was the loving wife of Ivan "Inky" Inkman. Bonnie received her Bachelor's Degree from the former Towson State Teacher's College now known as Towson University. She later received her Master's Degree from Loyola University. She retired as a teacher from Howard County Public Schools where she had taught for many years at West Friendship Elementary School. Bonnie had a great love of music. She was a long time member of St. James United Methodist Church and had served as their church organist for many years. Bonnie enjoyed trips to the beach, spending time with her family and friends, and tirelessly served her community. Surviving in addition to her husband are son David Inkman of Ijamsville, MD; daughter and son-in-law Heather and Darin Kinder of Dallas, TX; brothers Allen Dutterer of Taneytown and Carl Dutterer of Dallas, NC; sisters Donna Graham of Westminster and Eila Chambers of Kansas City, MO and grandchildren: Katelynn Inkman, Sam Kinder, Nate Kinder, Ben Kinder and Daniel Kinder. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 20, 2020 from 1 to 2:30pm and 4 to 5:30pm at St. James United Methodist Church, 12470 Old Frederick Road, Marriottsville, MD where a funeral service will be held on Monday, December 21, 2020 at 10am. Interment will be private. Due to current pandemic restrictions and the limited number of persons allowed to gather, you are encouraged to attend the visitation on Sunday.
