Alice LaRue "Judy" Mayes Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Alice LaRue "Judy" Mayes, age 77, of Clarksville, passed away on Friday, May 27, 2022, at home. She was born on June 22, 1944, in Ellicott City, MD to the late William Edward Bowman and Mary Anne Barth. Upon her graduation from the Howard County Public School System, she went to work with the National Security Agency until her retirement as an analyst. She loved flower gardening, birds, cooking and spending time with her siblings and family. She was a woman of strong faith and was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Ellicott City. Judy dearly loved their family rescue dog "Missy". She is survived by daughter and son-in-law Jennifer L. and Frank W. Jones of Clarksville, daughter in law Michaelle-Ann Mayes of Hanover, PA, sisters: Mary Hackney of IL, Shirley Meldrom of Columbia, Janet Ridgely of Ellicott City and Edith Sauter of Sykesville, brother John Bowman of Ellicott City, grandchildren: Joshua Mayes and wife Rachel, Dana Mayes, Katlin Jones and Emily Jones and great-grandchildren Camden McKinnon and Grayson and Tanner Kiepert. She was predeceased by son Truman Darrell Mayes, Jr., brother Charles Bowman and sister Dorothy Crum. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8pm on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville where a funeral service will be held at 11am on Thursday, June 2, 2022.
