Mr. William Michael "Mike" Kimble

William Michael "Mike" Kimble, age 63 of Eldersburg, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2022 at The Dove House in Westminster. He passed peacefully with his wife, children, grandson, and daughter-in-law by his side. Born April 19, 1959 in Mount Airy, MD, he was the son of the late Dolan Ray and Ruby Gail Waggy Kimble. He was a graduate of South Carroll High School, Class of 77’. He was married to Amy Collins Kimble for 34 years. Mike was a trusted Home Inspector, and humble business owner. He offered his clients and colleagues knowledge, experience, and welcomed them to their new home as if they were already friends. He was a baseball coach to his son, and traveled to theater festivals, and Mountaineer games with his daughter. He never missed a hunting or river rafting season. He shared many long bus trips with friends, to picking his kids up from the bunny hill, to racing them down Double Black Diamonds, skiing - all while making friends with strangers on the chair lift. His family will pass down these traditions to his grandson, Emmitt, in remembrance of him. Mike also never missed a local concert and was often the first on and last to leave the dance floor. He stayed surrounded by friends, music, and the Baltimore Orioles, through the end. Surviving in addition to his wife are son and daughter-in-law, Larson Hunter and LeeAnna Kimble; daughter, Alayna Michelle Kimble; brother and sister-in-law, Jeffrey Todd and Sibel Kimble; grandson, Emmitt Ray Kimble; and many other family members and friends. He was predeceased by his son, Jennings Franklin Kimble. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 15, 2022, from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville, where a funeral service will be held on Friday, September 16, 2022, at 10 am. As September 15th represents a celebration of Mike’s life, the family also celebrates Mike’s late mother’s birthday, and his parent’s wedding anniversary on this day. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to BridgingLife Hospice (The Dove House). His time was made peaceful in their hands.
