Virginia Flinn

Virginia Marie (Reed) Flinn, 51, known by friends and family as Ginger, of Westminster, MD, passed away late in the day on January 3, 2022. She was born on November 16, 1970, in Washington DC to Sandra and George Reed. Ginger, a beloved wife and mother, is survived by her husband Kevin Flinn and daughters Megan and Kellie Flinn of Westminster, MD. In addition to her parents and family she is survived by loving sisters Angela Reed Woolverton (Michael) of Columbia, MD, and Danielle Reed McMurray (Carter) of Murfreesboro, TN. Aunt Ginger also adored her nieces and nephews; Samuel, Luke, and Casandra Woolverton, Cara & Natallie McMurray, and Jennifer Ward. At a young age Ginger and family moved to Columbia, in Howard County MD and was a graduate of Hammond High School. She went on to further her education at Howard Community College where she earned her degree as a Registered Nurse. She dedicated her career using her nursing skills and compassion at University of MD Medical Systems (UMMS), Sierra Military, and Greater Baltimore Medical Center (GBMC) where she impacted many lives and developed lasting friendships with her beloved coworkers. Ginger and Kevin were long time residence of Ellicott City, MD where they raised their family of two daughters, many pets, and made numerous memories before their recent move to Carroll County’s Westminster area to a house with a beautiful porch that she fell in love with. Ginger was a loving and dedicated wife of 28 years and mother to her two daughters whom she loved immensely. She was a fierce defender of her family and a loving, compassionate friend to so many. Most importantly was her devoted relationship with her lord and savior, Jesus Christ, and her confidence of her salvation through His sacrifice at the cross. A Celebration of Life in honor of Ginger planned for April 9, 2022, at Crossroads Church of the Nazarene, Ellicott City, MD officiated by pastors Jesse Happel and Norman Huffman followed by a private service for the family at Meadowridge Memorial Park in Elkridge, MD. The Haight Funeral Home in Sykesville, MD, assisted with the arrangements. May her memory live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, and in the many lives that she touched.
