Patricia K. Frizzera

Patricia Ann (Kunert) Frizzera, 84 of Sykesville, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 10, 2023, at BridgingLife’s Dove House. Patricia (Pat) was born on February 24, 1939, in Baltimore, MD to the late Otto Paul Kunert and Marie Buhl Kunert. She was the loving and devoted wife of 61 years of John Baptist Frizzera. Pat was one of six children raised in a close-knit German family in West Baltimore. She graduated from the Institute of Notre Dame in 1957. Pat earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Baltimore. Pat worked for the Social Security Administration for over 30 years. She retired as a Branch Chief in the Classification Department in 1998. Throughout her life, Pat enjoyed vacationing with her family and friends, particularly cruises and trips to the beach. Pat also delighted in attending the numerous sporting events of her children and grandchildren. She took pleasure in trips to Atlantic City where you could catch her for hours pulling the “one arm bandit.” Pat loved reading, gardening, and an occasional glass of Pinot Grigio. Most of all, Pat enjoyed the time she spent with her family. She hosted countless family gatherings and always went out of her way to make things special for all her loved ones. Pat especially loved the time she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchild. Pat often and fondly recalled the precious time she spent with her grandchildren under the “chatting tree,” and the thrill of becoming a great grandmother. Surviving in addition to her husband, are her sons Mark Scott Frizzera & wife Joelle, James Christopher Frizzera & wife Charlene, sister Susan Marie (Kunert) Read & husband William, sisters-in-law MaryAnne (Frizzera) Hucek & husband Gernot, Sylvia Ann (Townsend) Kunert, Lucy Marie (Brocato) Kunert, grandchildren Corey James Frizzera & wife Melissa, Zachary Layne Frizzera, Natalie Marie Frizzera, great grandchild Carmella Palma Frizzera, and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews, and countless other extended family and friends. Pat was predeceased by sisters Dolores Caroline (Kunert) Caraker Day and husbands Lloyd Caraker and Bryce Day, Kathleen Wally (Kunert) Lord and husband Gerald, and brothers Otto Paul Stephen Kunert and James Carl Kunert.
