She dedicated twelve years of her life to nurturing a small farm, where her nurturing spirit extended to the land, animals, and the family she cherished. Lois's commitment to making a comfortable and loving home was a testament to her incredible strength, patience and kindness. Her journey extended to the federal government, where Lois served with dedication until her retirement. Her professionalism and commitment were unwavering, leaving an indelible mark on those she worked alongside. In love and companionship, Lois shared over 25 years of marriage with her devoted husband, Dennis Treat. Their partnership was marked by a shared passion for life's joys, including dancing, laughter, and the thrill of travel. Their barefoot island cruises were a testament to their shared love of adventure and tranquility. These experiences brought them closer and enriched their lives with shared moments of beauty and joy. Lois's love for gardening and baking brought warmth and delight to her home, enriching the lives of those around her. Lois was a woman who embraced the world with open arms and embarked on many journeys, exploring the breathtaking landscapes of Alaska and Colorado. She reveled in the company of her sister, creating cherished memories at the beach and in the waves. Lois's family meant the world to her, and she held her siblings, Arthur Wall and Patricia Chassis, close to her heart. As a loving mother to John Treat and Denise Treat, Lois's impact on her children's lives was immeasurable. She showered her grandchildren, Stephanie, Benjamin, Silas, and Wren, with love, wisdom, and a profound sense of family. A memorial service will be held 11:00-12:00, Saturday, August 26, 2023, at Wesley Freedom United Methodist Church, 961 Johnsville Rd, Eldersburg, Maryland. Friends and family are invited to gather to honor and remember the remarkable woman who left an indelible mark on our lives. Lois's memory lives on in the hearts of those she loved and those who loved her. She taught us the importance of kindness, the joy of laughter, and the beauty of embracing life's adventures.
