Kendall Skirven

Jane " Kendall " Skirven of Catonsville, Maryland, passed away peacefully, after a courageous struggle with AL amyloidosis, a rare disease, on January 9, 2025, at the age of 72, with her family by her side. She was born on October 17, 1952, in Baltimore Maryland, to the late John Kendall Davis Jr. and the late Anna Marie " Frenchy" Davis. Through all her life, Kendall loved her community and hometown of Catonsville. Volunteering her time on many committees and social events. She was admired and loved for her incredible energy, always enthusiastic, generosity, amazing work ethic and kindness. She had so many wonderful friendships and was adored by many in the community she called home. She loved everything about Catonsville and often shared, in her vibrant way, how “Life is great in 21228.” Kendall was a highly successful Real Estate Agent, with a legendary career of over 50 years, up until the final few days of her life. Her son, Michael, is proud to continue on the Skirven family name in the industry. She was an avid golfer, competitive but always played for the love of the game with some of her dear friends by her side. A woman of strong faith, Kendall was supported all her life by her deep love of God and her trust in His ways. A devoted and loving “Gigi” to her grandchildren, she was actively and happily immersed in their lives. A perfect day in her own words was “feet in the sand, playing with my grandkids, dinner with family and a clients contract accepted.” She is survived by two devoted children, her son Michael Skirven and daughter Kaitlin Leasure. Daughter in law Kaitlin Skirven, and son in law Zachary Leasure. Her adoring Grandchildren: Greyson, Michala, Kennedy and Sloane. Her great niece, Quinn. Her three loving sisters; Kim, Dyann, and Sandy, as well as brother-in-law Jim Cornelius. In addition, she is survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends. She made an impact on everyone she encountered during her time here with us. She leaves behind a huge void. We are heartbroken and also inspired by her life and her love for us. She will be greatly missed by all those who love her. The family is holding a Celebration of Life, at 11am on February 1, 2025, at The Catonsville Assembly of God, 1928 Frederick Road, Catonsville, Maryland 21228. A lunch in Kendall’s honor will also be provided, located at The FOP Lodge, 2832 Nine Mile Circle Catonsville, MD 21228 from 12-3:30.
