Reverend Foster Perry age, 85, of Mount Airy, MD Reverend Foster Perry, age 85, of Mount Airy, MD died Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at the Carroll Hospice Dove House, Westminster, MD. Born August 29, 1927, in Sneedville, TN he was the son of the late Louis and Shrilda Barnard Perry. He was predeceased by his first wife, the late Margaret A. Perry. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Mary Livesay Perry of Mount Airy, MD. Foster had served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired as a machinest/supervisor from the Wilkins-Rogers Flour Mill, Ellicott City, MD. He accepted the Lord as his Savior at the age of 12 at Ida's Chapel, TN. Foster was ordained as a minister in the Missionary Baptist Church in 1961. He served as pastor of Granite Missionary Baptist Church, Granite, MD, Stoneyridge Missionary Baptist Church, Marriottsville, MD and at Sharon Missionary Baptist Church, West Friendship, MD. He was a member of Sharon Missionary Baptist Church. Foster enjoyed gardening, reading and studying the Bible and spreading God's word. Surviving in addition to his wife are son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Debbie Perry of Sykesville, MD; step-daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Terry Jackman of Mount Airy, MD and Darlene and Brian Leaf of Berkeley Springs, WV, brothers and sisters-in-law, Buford and Ruth Perry of Sykesville, MD and Robert and Kay Perry of Jacobs, PA; sisters and brother-in-law, Joan and Keith Krickler of Sykesville, MD and Truman Carrillo of Santa Cruz, CA; grandchildren and spouses, Shannon Marie Perry, Tim Jackman and wife, Laura, Jason Jackman, Gary Greene and wife, Melissa, James D. Greene and wife, Debbie White Greene and Joseph Greene and wife, Adrienne and great-grandchildren, Taylor, Kendall, Emma, Garrett, Gavin, Kristen, Joshua, Jackson and Caroline, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by siblings, the late Ace J. Perry and Lucille Gaudett. Friends may call at the Haight Funeral Home & Chapel (6416 Sykesville Road) Sykesville, MD on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A funeral service will be held at Sharon Missionary Baptist Church (McKendree Road) West Friendship, MD on Friday at 2PM with Reverend Aaron Jones officiating.
