Mr. Dennis Joseph Walsh

Dennis J. Walsh, of Eldersburg, Maryland, passed away on September 3, 2025, at the age of 73. He was born in Baltimore to the late Eleanor Grabenstein Walsh and Earl Joseph Walsh. Dennis lived a life led by faith and giving back to those in need. He had an energy and pep about him that was contagious and was definitely the life of the party. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps for 24 years and retired as a Chief Warrant Officer 3. He loved serving his country. He organized countless benefits for the Toys for Tots Foundation and supported many local Veteran's organizations and was a proud member of the Sykesville American Legion #223. He loved sports and was an avid Baltimore Orioles fan and a Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He was a big kid at heart. He loved his family and close friends fiercely. He enjoyed family traditions. He especially loved being a pappy to his Granddaughter Samantha Walsh. They shared a special relationship, and he enjoyed every moment of their time spent together. In addition to his parents and sister Regina Walsh, Dennis was predeceased by his wife Lillian Walsh. Dennis is survived by his Son Matthew Walsh of North Carolina, brother Earl Benjamin Walsh of Florida, sister Renee Loovis (Jeffrey) of Catonsville, and granddaughter Samantha Walsh. In addition, Dennis is survived by his longtime love Laura Anderson and her family; daughters Kelly Valway, and Jennifer Saulsbury (Ryan), and grandchildren Matthew, Andrew, Bryson and Savanna. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and so many lifelong loving friends. Denny made an impact on all of the lives he touched and will be sorely missed. A visitation will be held on Tuesday September 9, 2025, from 10:00 A.M.- 12:00 P.M. followed by a Catholic Prayer Service at 12:00 P.M. at Haight Funeral Home and Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville, MD, 21784. A private- family only- interment will take place at Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery. A Celebration of Life is being held from 3 - 7 P.M. on Tuesday September 9, 2025, at The Sykesville American Legion, #223, 7327 Slacks Rd, Sykesville, MD. 21784.
