Mrs. Beverly Jean Coulson

Beverly Jean Coulson, age 73 of Sykesville MD, died September 2, 2018 at home under the care of her daughters with support from Carroll Hospice. Born September 3, 1944 in Fort Worth, TX, she was the daughter of James Earl Johnson and Reba Lavelle Johnson (née Watson) of Fort Worth, TX. She was the the wife of the late SMSGT Eugene Paul Coulson, Air Force (retired). They were married in Texas on June 2, 1961 and were happily married 53 years. They had three daughters together: Kimberley Lynn Williams (Jimmy Williams) of Georgia, Susan Jean Browne (Stephen Browne) of Maryland, and Tracy Ann Christy (Jay Christy), of Maryland. As an Air Force wife, she lived for a time in England, Turkey, and Taiwan as well as Columbus OH, and San Antonio, TX with her husband and kids. She was a devoted wife and mother, and a doting Grandmother to her Grandchildren: Scott Caraballo, Darian Williams, Sharon (Belt) Price, Timothy Belt, Nicholas Browne, Alex Christy, and Jayson Christy. She also leaves behind five Great Grandchildren: Cayden Price, Grayson Belt, Chase Price, Wyatt Williams and Eren Caraballo, brother James Lee Johnson, sisters Patricia McWhirter and Vernell "Duke" Freeman and dear friend Cleida Plumley. As a teen she was in the marching band at Castleberry High School in Fort Worth and used to love to go dancing with her sisters. Beverly was active in several social leagues while living on different Air Force bases, including bowling and darts. She was crafty, making many blankets, dolls and other items for family and friends over the years. She was a strong bowler, a good cards partner and a hell of a friend. Her love for her family, especially her grandchildren, was known by everyone that knew her. Though she will be greatly missed by her family and friends, we take heart knowing she is reunited with her loving husband again. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Gene, Grandson Ryan Caraballo, her sister Janie Louvelle Anderson, and son-in-law Jimmy Williams. A memorial service for Beverly will be held at 10:00am, Saturday September 8th, at Haight Funeral Home 6416 Sykesville Road, Eldersburg, MD 21784 followed by 2 hours for time with family to share memories. Internment will take place at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens, with a private ceremony.
