Gregory Wayne Kaylor

Gregory Wayne Kaylor Greg passed peacefully on November 26, 2022. He was Born June 8, 1950 in Baltimore, Maryland. He was the son of John and Muriel (Redmond) Kaylor. In 1970, he met Nancy Pickett and, although he went to Westminster High School and she went to South Carroll, they were married in 1975 and just celebrated their 47th Anniversary. He was a proud graduate of High Point College (now University) in High Point, North Carolina and a lifelong member of the Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity. He earned his Accounting Degree at Loyola College in Baltimore. He was a self-employed CPA in Westminster for 38 years. His clients were his friends. Some for over 30 years. He was an incredibly intelligent man with an almost photographic memory…A blessing and sometimes “a curse.” He loved classic cars and could tell you the specifications of pretty much any vehicle made since the 1960’s. He enjoyed old Westerns, James Bond, and Sci-Fi/Fantasy movies. He only carried a flip phone “for emergency use.” He loved his family dearly and worked hard to always support them. He was especially happy and proud when he became a Granddad. He was able to see his daughter Meghan’s wedding via live streaming to the hospital. It brought him great joy in his final days that he was able to see her get married. In addition to his wife Nancy, he is survived by daughter Meghan & husband Steven Carney (Westminster), Son Bryan Kaylor and grandsons Ethan and Henry (Finksburg), his beloved Australian Labradoodle Penny (Woodbine), sister Adrienne Long (Finksburg), brother Tim Kaylor (Taylorsville), and brother Geoffrey Kaylor (Houston, Texas). The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 1, 2022, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. and Friday, December 2, 2022, from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at Haight Funeral Home and Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville, MD. The funeral service will be 12 p.m. on Friday, December 2, 2022, at the funeral home. Interment will be at Wards Chapel UMC, Randallstown.
