Carol Ann Hartman

Carol Ann Hartman, 63 years young, left her home in Sykesville, Maryland on November 21st 2021, to live eternally in Heaven. Her journey was proceeded by her husband Donald Avril Hartman (Her Donald), her sister Connie Perry, her mother Marie Jo Faulkner (Mama Jo), her father Cecil Bennon Faulkner, and her brother Rodney Ross Faulkner. The list of those she has reunited with is long and there is comfort in knowing how many people she loved and lost were there to greet her when she arrived. Those of us on this side of heaven that had the opportunity to know and cherish her during her 63 years knew her as ‘Carol Ann’, ‘Momma’, ‘Mawmaw’, and ‘Mama Jo Jr.’. Carol Ann was a wife, mom, grandmother, friend, and caretaker. She never knew a stranger. Carol Ann was the life of every party, and could make perfect pot roast, fried okra, lasagna, and jello shots. She made everyone laugh and loved to dance and sing. She enjoyed retirement. She loved traveling, road trips, RVing, old country music, good southern cookin’, feeding the birds, white zin with a side of ice, carrying on family traditions, and most of all she loved her family. Carol was always prepared, remembered everyone’s birthday, and gave everything she had to the people that were privileged enough to be loved by her. She was easy to love and will be impossible to forget. Carol Ann left her fingerprints on the hearts of so many people. Her daughter (Glynda Marie) and her grandbabies (Nicholas Brian Ross, Devin Lehman Ross, and Braeden Donald Ross), sisters (Mary Angeline Faulkner, Glynda Sue Lipps), brothers (Martin Claude Faulkner, Jack Burch Faulkner), sisters in law (Michele, Marylou) and brothers in law (William Perry, Steven Lipps), along with nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews will miss her terribly. She was the glue that held her family together, stepping into Mama Jo’s shoes after her passing. Carol Ann Hartman was a phenomenal woman, and we all watched her in wonder. She was graceful, beautiful, funny, and filled with so much love. She was one of the good ones. We hope to live our lives in her honor, travel where she wanted to travel, do the things that would make her proud, and love everyone that God brings into our lives. The world will never be the same, but one day we will be able to see her again, hug her, dance with her, and fill her wine glass.
